Corsair Track and Field
The Track and Field and Scoreboard Replacement project is a bond funded project to replace the existing track and field at the Corsair Field. The scope of the project also includes the installation of a new digital score board on the existing south wall of Parking Structure 3.
The project is scheduled to start on December 1, 2025 and anticipated to be completed by April 15, 2026. The track and field will be closed during construction.
Tennis/Pickleball Court Project
The project is to convert 3400 Airport Dr. into a Tennis/Pickleball court facility. The new court facility will have a total of (6) tennis courts and (6) pickleball courts and will be used jointly by the City of Santa Monica and SMC for instructional use.
The project is scheduled to start in January 2026 and anticipated to be completed by May 2027.
Gender Neutral Restroom Building
As part of the College’s Gender Equality mission, the District is committed to providing facilities in support of gender equities. This project is part of the College’s continuous facilities improvement plan in achieving equity goals. The Gender Neutral Restroom Building will be located in the Quad area between Theater Arts building and the Humanities & Social Science building.
Construction started in May 2025, and is anticipated to be completed by December 2026.
Art Complex Replacement
Located on the corner of 14th Street and Pico Boulevard, the new Arts Complex will replace the old and aging Art Buildings on main campus. The new art complex will house three arts education pillars: studios, teaching spaces, and workshops; prioritizing function over discipline.
Construction started in September 2023, and is anticipated to be completed by April 2026.
