Background
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the Guided Pathways (GP) Collaborative was formed. The cross-functional group was tasked with examining the first-year student journey at SMC to identify institutional barriers to student success and to recommend actions to redesign the college to better serve first-time-in-college Black and Latine students.
Members
The GP Collaborative members included faculty (counselors and instructors) and classified educators. Deans and VPs also supported the work in discussions.
