The personal safety and health of each employee of Santa Monica College is of primary importance. An Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is a written workplace safety program that helps Santa Monica Community College identify and fix hazards before workers are injured. The IIPP can include policies and procedures to promote safety and health, training programs, and ways to communicate about health and safety. The goal of an IIPP is to reduce the risks of workplace injuries and illnesses.
Santa Monica Community College will maintain a safety and health program conforming to our best practices. To be successful, such a program must embody proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention on the part of supervisors and employees.
