Impact of President Trump's Executive Orders on Santa Monica College Presenter: Robert M. Help Shape SMC's First Climate Action Plan Presenter: Ferris Kawar, Director of Sustainability To achieve SMC's climate goals... and to do our part responding to the climate crisis, we are developing a Climate Action Plan (CAP), which will impact every area of the college including: academics, student life, transportation, food systems, procurement, landscaping, waste management, water use, building planning, design and maintenance, etc. The CAP will help reduce costs; improve building comfort; reduce liabilities; decrease equity gaps; address basic needs; provide environmental literacy; and drive enrollment.
