
# Sitemap Manager Gadget

**What This Gadget Does**
The Sitemap Manager Gadget is a custom dashboard gadget that easily allows admin users to identify which files in their staging environment are included or excluded from the OU Campus `sitemap.xml` output. It also allows for the user to be able to add or remove files that will be shown or hidden from the sitemap. The sitemap for the selected site can also be published from this gadget as well.

**How to add the gadget**
To add the gadget, paste this URL in the Add Gadget modal: **url here** and click fetch.

Here you can specify who will have access to use the gadget.
**Note:** *The gadget should only be made available to level 9+ users. And only level 10 users have the ability to utilize the sitemap publish button.*

**How it works**
 The sites in your account will be populated in the drop down on the initial load of the gadget. If you only have one site, only one site will appear in the drop down. The sites are sorted alphabetically by default. The publish sitemap button will appear as well if you are a level 10 user.

Select the site you wish to see the sitemap for and click the *Show Sitemap* button. This will loop through each folder of the site and check the access settings for each page. Once completed, two tables will display letting you know which files are currently included in the Sitemap, and which files are excluded from the Sitemap.

To add or exclude a file from the Sitemap, just click the *Add* or *Remove* button to update that files access settings. You can also filter each table by searching for specific files in the input filed directly above each table. And if you are a level 10 user, once done making your changes, you can publish the Sitemap file by clicking on the *Publish Sitemap for: site name* button.
